This is a known issue. However, until there is a fix the workaround for this problem is to change emails on the account. Another option is to create a new account with the desired username.

Admin panel > search user reLapse > change name
As for making another account with the desired username.
(1) Hard to do without another email address.
(2) The name will show as taken because I used it when Activision/Cod account.

Out of all honesty, even the burst fire weapons are horrible.. 2 full bursts at nearly point blank to kill an enemy... yet you miss one of those burst he will turn and insta kill you with a hand gun.. hand guns seem to be the OP weapons in this COD this time around..mega OP handguns . I had someone destroy me and my team with a burst hand gun today.

I personally like to snipe myself. I hate the fact that because people cried about ghost being to powerful because they can't look at anything but their mini map. Here's an idea try looking around. It's ****** up I have to get up and run or shoot down a uav to stay off the radar. Ghost WAS a good perk and it never made you super good. I wanna sneak up on ppl like in call of duty ghosts and black ops one with out a uav popping op and making them turn on me. Make the H.A.T.R work like the black bird Where it ignored the ghost perk. I see people getting them a lot. over all point is people should have to pay attention to the rest of the screen not just the mini map. ghost should work like it's supposed to in black ops three. Not a half assed version. people all have different play styles why should I be forced to change my style because people have shitty awareness ? I never had a problem finding people hiding in the bushes because I look around.

Today was the first day that I had horrific lag and performance issues. I'm glad they extended the beta because tonight was awful 9 out of 10 games. Loads of hitmarkers, lost basically every gunfight. It reminded me of why I haven't played since BO2.

The emp grenade rewarded good gamers with inflated score too.... so what? I see the black hat as a counter. Unfortunately for the "good" players, it rains on their parade.... and instead of being rewarded with easy kills after they've earned a deadly score streak. they will just need to continue to be good without it, and that is only if the enemy is running black hat.
All concerns and opinions are justified.... I'm just giving you mine.... that's all. I feel this way because I don't play for large streaks. At least no more than just for calling cards and challenges. I respect other players do, but what are you going to do? ...deal with it? ....or tell the devs that you don't want to play their game... you want to play your game?

Stop the future
Honestly, one of the biggest letdowns was Call of Duty going future. Noone likes the direction Call of Duty is headed except the 8-12 year olds that shouldn't be playing the game in the first place. Advanced Warfare was terrible don't get me wrong but I think that this is the worst Call of Duty ever made. Go back to the past, the future is ruining the game. The game went from somewhat realistic to ond of the most unrealistic games I have ever played. I am done with Call of Duty until it is done with this stupid futuristic nonsense.

Early morning in Europe (8.15 am)....I now try since 2 hours to get a descent game without any lag or skipping around people, no chance. It wasn´t that bad the first 2 days, but now it´s unplayable. I shoot someone and he turns around and I got killed with...it feels like 1 bullet...

Just a little update. Played from 10pm til 3am (between my wife and i) was a lot better than the rest of the day. Not perfect, but much better. We'll see how tomorrow's marathon goes.

Cod hasn't been somewhat realistic since before it got popular.
For me, it doesn't matter what time setting it's in. It only matters how it functions and how fun it is. And when the connection is decent, the game is great.
