    Thanks Rankismet! This has been a great thread. Every COD always has a Rhythm. Advanced Warfare is definitely the fastest of them all, I feel that no matter what is done to level the power of a gun, a majority of players will find that an SMG will fall into that rhythm. If you are dying constantly by the same gun, rethink your strategy. Try and avoid encountering enemies at a medium range. Sniper Rifles and Shotguns are a great way to take out SMG users if you can anticipate where the other players are. Also you have to move, always be moving, even with a sniper rifle. Take one shot, move. if the enemy is getting close with their ASM1, exo dodge back or to the side as far and fast as you can. This buys time for another shot, or to switch to a secondary weapon. All in All, play how you enjoy the game. I love the EM1 PWNER with the pink laserbeam, and a golden riot shield. Its not a competition setup, my KD is rarely over 1, but its fun. I play with peoples emotions, and I can easily find the guy that killed me because they have to steal my loot!

    Eighty7_Octane ... I've just started tinkering with the Lynx. Traditional sniping just isn't working for me - yet. I'm going to work at it some more. But when I sat down to think about snipers, the first thing that came to mind was that I needed to be able to go to good CQC to midrange secondary.

     

    And I needed to be able to do it really fast.

     

    So I've got four classes I'm tinkering with right now. Three Lynx/MP11 classes and a Lynx/Tac 19 class. One of the MP11 set ups has NO perks because I need to do the Lynx-no-perks challenge. One MP11 class is using Gung Ho and Fast Hands so I can try to score some slide kills with the MP11. The other MP11 and Tac 19 classes I swing back and forth with trying to decide if running an SMG is better than a SG with this set up.

     

    Regardless, what is clear is that running a sniper without Overkill, for me, isn't going to happen. Quick Scoping is pretty easy in AW ... but what I run into is having to deal with multiple targets that tend to be 30 degrees or more apart from each other. I can't switch to the second target fast enough and that gets me killed if I stay with the SR. However, if I score the first kill with the SR then begin an egress while switching to the second primary, I'm coming out ahead about 50% of the time. I'm hoping with more practice I'll increase those odds.

     

    The point is, though, that people just assume things should fit together a specific way. One of the "nerf ASM1" arguments I saw recently was that how rebalancing the ASM1 should not take into consideration other weapon classes. That's insane!

     

    CAC is like a puzzle. There's hundreds of pieces that are all shaped exactly the same. So no matter what pieces you use, the puzzle will create a picture of something.

     

    The trick is to get the picture created with a CAC to look like something Michelangelo would have painted.

    And the reason I don't believe it is because, apparently I am host quite often, a connection from Brazil to me is NOT the best possible connection and definitely not in my geographic region.

     

    I understand, you are going by what SH has stated but there are several out there that can attest that this isn't the case. I am not the only one, I am sure you may have seen it too and again, why would people need to buy a product like the NetDuma to resolve the issue that they claim is a priority.

    as a tiny clan we were doin ace ,1st in division..update & 2 weeks of no clan or able to access it = demoted to 7th we havent done anything so we cant get points?!

    whats with " clan wars bonus-none" why wind players up with that & it reads the same everywhere ?

    I'm about 75% through the game with my son and I would say that one of each trap and one trap master of each element is an absolute minimum. There are 2 additional elements that were released recently: Light and Dark, which will likely add to the running total. This gives a bit more detail:

    Game Play
    All matches for this competition are expected to be played at the scheduled match time listed on this event page.
    After losing a match in a single elimination tournament, that team will be eliminated from the competition.
    The Map(s) and Game Type(s) for this tournament will be generated for the players. Players are required to play the specific maps and game types listed for each match.
    Matches may not be rescheduled except for finals. Rescheduling a finals match will be at the discretion of us (TGS)

    All teams/players have a 15 minute grace period from the match scheduled time to show up and play their match. If a team does not show up by the end of this grace period, we must verify the no show. Please contact us immediately on this event page or FB messenger. Once we join, extra time up to 10 minutes may be given to ensure the match is played.

    Teams have 5 minutes between each map/game mode. If a team/player goes over this grace period, please follow the above steps for support.

    For game modes that are not kill dependent, teams may only play shorthanded by one player. Any missing player may join the private match lobby at any time.

    No warm-up or practice Games are permitted once the first tournament match has begun. If a match is played before the scheduled time, it will not be considered a warm-up and will count as the official scores.

    Third party communication is allowed for this tournament. (i.e skype, TeamSpeak, Party Chat, etc.). However, players must be able to communicate with any staff member that joins the lobby.

    Players not on any of the teams' rosters should not be allowed into the private match lobby at any time. If a player not listed on a team's roster joins the match and disrupts the game play or does not leave in a timely manner, the host should end the game.

    If a player lags out during the first 30 second or before the first kill the map or round, the game should be ended and restarted for all game modes.
    The team who lost the player should either leave the game, switch to spectator mode, or end the game if that team is host.
    For Search and Destroy, the map should be resumed from the scores prior to the player losing connection to the private match lobby.

    If a player lags out after the first 30 seconds and/or after the first kill, the match must continue.
    For Search and Destroy, the current round must be completed. Once that round has ended, The team who lost the player should either leave the game, switch to spectator mode, or end the game if that team is host during the intermission between rounds.

    Any form of cheating, glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, unsportsmanlike behavior, or use of restricted items is forbidden. These offenses are subject to forfeit the tournament.
    In Search and Destroy, planting the bomb in a position where it cannot be defused while in any of the player stances will be considered abuse of in-game mechanics.
    In Search and Destroy, picking up and/or defusing the bomb through a solid object will be considered abuse of in-game mechanics.

    Hosting
    Hosting refers to the team that creates a Private match lobby. The team “hosts” the Map by creating the Private match lobby and creating the custom game in accordance with the information on the match page and this rules page. On many games, the individual player that created the room also often hosts the game on his/her connection. On other games, the connection is hosted by in-game servers. Please note that the use of the term “Host” below applies to the individual that creates the Custom Game Lobby.

    In a best of 3 and best of 5 series, the higher seeded team must host the first Map. The lower seeded team must choose sides on the first Map. Then, the lower seeded team must host the second Map. The higher seeded team must choose sides on the second Map. This will alternate until a tie breaker is required. The team with the highest overall score will host the tiebreaker map.
    For Search and Destroy, the team with the highest round count will host the final map. The non-hosting team will choose which side to start on.

    All players must agree that the Host is reasonable before the start of a Map. If a reasonable Host cannot be found, we will help decide who will host the map. If we are not available, the best Host should be used.
    We highly suggest that a lag test be performed before the start of each map. If a lag test is not performed, it will be implied that all players agree the host is acceptable to play on.

    Once gameplay has begun, the host may not end the game. The only exception is if a player lags out/loses connection to the server(refer to rules 6 and 7 under gameplay) or if an outside player joins and disrupts the match.

    Penalties
    Settings:
    For Search and Destroy, the hosting team will forfeit all rounds where the incorrect setting(s) affected the game.
    For all other game modes, the hosting team will forfeit the entire map if the incorrect setting(s) affected the game.
    If a map is hosted out of order, the hosting team forfeit the map that was played out of order.
    In example, if Biolab is second map and played first, the hosting team will forfeit Biolab. First map will need to be played.

    Restricted Items:
    For Search and Destroy, use of any restricted item will result in the loss of the round(s) the item(s) were used in if it affected game play.
    For all other game modes, use of any restricted item will result in the loss of the entire map if it affected game play.

    Abusing In-Game Mechanics
    For Search and Destroy, the round were an unfair advantage was obtained will result in the loss of that round.
    For all other game modes, abusing in game mechanics will result in the loss of that map.
    Repeated abuse of in game mechanics to gain an unfair advantage will result in the loss of the entire match.
    The offending player will be suspended from the site for up to thirty (30) days.

    Cheating
    Use of controllers that modify the firing rate of any weapon will result in that team forfeiting the entire match.
    IP Flooding (DDoS Attacks) of your opponent will result in immediate disqualification of that team. All players on that team will be suspended from all tournaments.
    Use of a modified/jail broken console will result in the immediate disqualification of that team. All players on that team will be suspended all tournaments.

    Account Recovering XBL or PSN Accounts
    Tournament participants are forbidden to allow others to play in this competition in place of them by sharing XBL accounts. The offending team forfeit the entire match.

    I Have a similar issue. I get an error message saying that I've been disconnected from black ops 2 servers. Then when I press OK I go to play online and I have a 5 minute probation. Can't even play the game at this point all I can do is stare at a probation screen. I play PS3 btw.

  • My opinion on clans is that they ruin the casual experience of Call of Duty. It is my belief that clans/parties greater than 3 (4-6 + Ground War) should be forced into a Clan versus Clan sort of playlist. Putting a bunch of solo (potentially casual) players against a party of organized and calculated clanmates is going to make their experience less enjoyable. Do I think it causes lag? Perhaps. Given that these clans could likely have people from multiple different regions, they could likely - although not purposefully - "create" strange connections. I would be willing to be that clans definitely do make connections less than desirable in a lot of cases.

    I got the same problem. Every time i go into a game and it keeps on disconnecting me from black ops 2 servers. Its been doing this all day and i am now pissed off. Trayarch you need to fix this. I have had enough of this.

    I just got a PS4 and was wondering: when you log into your PSN account on the PS4, does the elite gear also transfer to the new console?

    So about 3 weeks ago i bought cod 4 for pc, ive played a lot in my childhood on ps3. the multiplayer server list is completely blank. I looked it up and you had to replace a file with a good one because the one pre installed was blank. Then it said that you have to enable PunkBuster. I cliked enable and it did nothing. i Looked it up and i replaced another file. That it enabled it and i saw the server list and PunkBuster was enabled and i entered a server and the screen changed to a loading screen and i was happy but then it counted up to 12 and said connection time out.

     

    IF someone could give me a step by step instruction or a link to the video or even some sort of compensation for the game i bought that DOSENT WORK that would be very great.

     

    P.S. Activision, I would appreciate a number to call because I find forums very annoying. Oh well.
