Hey guys i figured i'd make a list of everything we've gone through over the past few months. its all the goods and bads that i could think of. I know im gonna be missing stuff so feel free to add stuff! This was meant to be fun and let us recall what we've been through. Enjoy!

I'm not colourblind but one of my mates is and I know that he is red/green colourblind, and like you orange is just barely visible to him.  So he will not even play HC matches because all he does is gets kicked because he cannot tell who is one what side.  I do not think there is any easy fix for this sadly.  It might make sense instead of changing the colours to make your team's names NOT appear while the other team's names DO appear to differentiate for those people with this affliction, but at this point in the game cycle, that will not change.

i'm all for cod's customizations of gamertags, titles, emblems, clan tags, and callingcards, but what I really don't like is how it takes a reporting function to bring some sort of closure to an offensive whatever!?  what I'd love to see is a permanent removal of a gamertag, along with a permanent mute, of a person I feel is just way to raw!?  not that a gamertag deletes for everybody, I just don't want to see it ever again, and I want to have the option of unmuting someone when I feel like it.

 

punishment may actually work to change some people, I just don't want to wait that long.

It is double XP opening weekend for anyone.  They sent the email out earlier this week or late last week if I am remembering correctly.  And yes, the Ghosts camo is only available for Gamestop members in the US, but if you really desperately want it, you can still find codes for it for sale on eBay from Gamestop employees who decided not to hand them out to their customers (I know one bloke here at the local GS at the Boulevard that has made $15k selling them on eBay).

I could be wrong as it was sooo long ago I changed it but I had the same issue at firstr found the color assist and it changed my team mates to blue (instead of green I thought) and the enemy red for their names? I can always see the blue (am red green color blind) so if I dont see blue I shoot it!

You know mate, you could be right about what the colorblind assist does I am not honestly sure.  It could also be that my mate is blind as a freaking bat wandering through the outback in daylight.  Seriously, his glasses look like pop bottles.

1) That seems like a big problem. If that is true I can totally feel your rage. In central europe this works pretty good. This seems to be more of a problem of Treyarchs server distribution in the US.

 

2) I wasn't trying to offend you or anything. I just meant that being able to choose your opponent can also be abused for stat-whoring. Other than that this isn't something that couldn't be achieved with matchmaking. If they stop people from leaving/joining in-game sessions (there's a  thread for that in General Discussion), you can choose your opponents in the pre-game lobby.

 

3) "choosing for yourself" would only work if we would get absolutely free control over servers. I doubt we would ever get that. Other than that, unless you rent a server yourself, you still have to play those modes that other people run on their servers. And in a lot of games (with server browsers) in the past it was hard to find a specific map/gamemode combo.

 

4) If matchmaking would only put you into pre-game lobbys with a map-vote feature, this wouldn't be a problem.

 

5) Yeah, waiting for IW/TA to fix something is like waiting for world peace

 

 

The most important things is, all those above points are not problems of matchmaking, but of IW/TA's lousy implementation of it. If they get it right, they could build up a decent system with dedi based matchmaking. It still wouldn't be proper dedis, but better than that previous ****.

• The lag issue can be fixed by providing better/enough servers
• no joining of open games would fix the "can't choose guys I'm playing with" thing
• proper filter options for matchmaking would make it easier to find games or specific map/gamemodes

 

 

As for proper dedis, there is still so much they could screw up. What makes you think they would actually add proper feautures to their dedis? IIRC BO1's server browser was pretty shitty. You couldn't properly select a server while the list was still refereshing. In a lot of other games, server browsers have crappty filter options, or are slow as ****. What if those servers have extremely limited gametype/gamemode options as well?

 

If they would do something like this however Dedicated servers done right - stupidly simple, we would all be happy.

 

TL;DR:

good proper dedis > good dedi based matchmaking > shitty proper dedis >>> shitty dedi based matchmaking >>>>> P2P matchmaking

Yep, you're right, and I don't know why they don't do it on all the games. In MW3 I sometimes wait up to 15 seconds to respawn and it sucked. Its one of the only things I like best about BO2, you don't spend half the time waiting to respawn.

Hey im a student in 9 class, im gona make my projekt work about graphics, then i think about Call of Duty, they have been upgrading the graphics many times, i really want some side to side videos with example: Call of Duty Black Ops 2 has launch the vengeance in that 1 there is 1 map from Call of Duty World at War, who has come back remaked, in the Vengeance DLC. i really want some videos of the maps in my projekt, i would self do it but im playing on PS3 so its pretty hard to get some recording on that when i dont have the things to do it.

I think the map rotation and voting system has to be tweak.
We all know we can't play a map 3 time in a row in the same lobby.

Make it that when we've played a map twice in a row that the previous map vote will become a next map also. So we can choose between 2 maps and a random map.

 

The gamemode rotation/voting. I play groundwar again for a couple of days. And it happend's a lot that the votes are for the same gamemode. Make it so that you always can choose between 2 game modes.

And also always 2 different maps. It also happend's that you can choose same map but different modes.

 

Edit: The gamemode voting is also for multi-team and moshpit
