cool. my mom just hired a contractor to do some work on her house. I still don't know if it was a funny story or a scary story how that came about. She'd ordered some sand to fill some low spots around her yard. She lives kinda semi-rural, you know? And this guy shows up in his dump truck and she says, "Well, I'd kinda like it dumped over here if you can. But if you can't, you can't" She's got 7 acres so I mean there's like no shortage of places to drop a few yards of dirt. So she tells the guy, "Wherever you dump it, be careful of my water pump, my propane tank, and the power line coming to my house."
No problem says the dump truck driver.
What does he do? He dumps it all right. And, you know, typical of a DT driver, he has to bang the door to get he last bit out instead of checking it with a shovel. Well, in the process of doing that ... he forgets about the power line. Dang near rips off an entire wall of my mom's house!
Anyway, lotta background. My mom spent two days finding a bonded and insured contractor. Guy she finally contacted sounds like pretty savy fella. He's a talker, though. Long story finally becoming short ... I'd love to have a job like that. sounds like there's never a dull moment.
