I also have MMA experience and in mutual combat, reflexes are essential. However, in an animated online video game, there are instances where I have time to calculate and execute a tactical move. I do have time to consider hip firing my weapon or choosing to melee. It depends on the scenario. Each scenario is different. There have been occasions where I have hipfired and then gotten a shotgun blast death or a QS death. Most scenario's I choose to melee to avoid being 1HK by a superior weapon.

Toy Collection problem
When placing my toys on the portal, I have not been able to collect any toys other than the Swap Force swap figures. The rest of the toys show in game, but don't get marked as part of my collection. I was able to register all traps, items of power, and expansion pieces.

OR you try to retaliate only to find 24/7 shield or 24/7 online, I posted a idea of making a 24/7 shield open to retaliatory attack, this is crap, someone attacks you, has a win then hides behind a 24/7 shield, 24/7 online, or 24/7 attack, most of the time it is high end players, high RP, the pay to win/build players.
SOMETHING has to be done about these cowards that hide behind the 24/7 RETALIATORY ATTACK PROOF CRAP.

Yeah, maybe one day I'll convince enough people that it would be a good tool to have in our box, then hopefully enough people will request it and it will finally get added to the game. Ping is nice though.
Most randoms I game with think download and upload speed is the most important factor for reducing lag. They are constantly complaining because they pay for a 100MB/sec connection but are lagging bad in-game. Then after I have them perform some basic troubleshooting tests we find out they also have a 100ms ping time and/or are NAT Type 3 (Strict)...sigh...
I only have a 10MB/sec DSL connection, but I have <20ms ping and NAT Type 1 (Open). I always have max connection bars and very little lag.

AW is not bad. I kinda like how the new movements and gameplay is in COD: AW. I just have an issue with the connection though. I'm in the Philippines and most of the matches I get as with 2 or 1 bar ping. Nothing I can do about that but the gameplay is still good.

Check with your friends if they have the same DLC that you have. If one of your friends does not have or has a DLC that you have or don't have, you'll be having a hard time finding matches. I suggest to check the DLC Map Packs with your friends. You can also use the Recent Players feature to try to join random players that you have played before if they are in a match and an available space for your party is available.

Report the players that you encounter that are cheating in the game. It's not nice to cheat and it takes away the challenge and the fun. Report the cheating players and let Activision or Sledgehammer check the reported players. Players are still getting banned in the game especially when you check the forums regarding banned issues.
To report, open your friends list and then go to the Recent Players tab. Select the Steam ID of the player that's cheating and then select the option to report.
