Plays just fine to me. Then again, I'm not trying to play on a 10 year old console that has less processing power than my cellphone.

Just my input but I found even the older games where 'SBMM' wasn't as strong I would have numerous international players in lobbies on regular occasions. I don't just mean they join our Aussie lobby sometimes but me joining US lobbies also. Back then it didn't matter as much as I had sh$t internet at the time and was on 2 bars most days where as the newer games don't tend to have that issue for me.

I have done some test with my Duma with foreign lobbies and it is pretty darn hard to place myself in other countries and force matchmaking. COD's matchmaking is pretty strong when it comes to regions so it may take me quite a while to find a game if trying to force US lobbies. When I turn off geo-filtering I may get the odd Madagascar player or whatnot and if I enable whole-globe filtering with no ping-assist I might get 2 random foreign players every so often.

Funny how for me, older games had more out-of-region players than the 'SBMM heavy' AW.

I still believe that connection still takes priority far more than people think and that it is simply a wider allowable ping for the Skill Based component.

As much as I enjoyed MW3, I actually think the quitting began to get really bad with MW3. There's always been people who back out. But I think it became so bad in MW3 that it was a large part of what motivated the probation system of BO2. In BO2 it may have been more noticeable due to the temporary probation - but the thing is, people were not getting probation simply because they backed out. They were getting probation because they were disconnecting from the game entirely. Big difference. Back outs may cause minor interruptions in the game, but they don't bring the whole game to a stop. Disconnects do end the game.

There may be more people backing out of losing matches in AW for a collection of reasons. For one thing, where's the stats? See, without an easy ability to see one's Win/Loss ratio, what difference does it make if I stay or leave? I'll just go look for another lobby where I have a chance of having a really awesome match instead of grinding it out for a 1:1 KDR, etc, etc. I think another reason people have been more apt to back out of matches in AW is because so many people have seen what they deem as such a radical difference in their performance, once again they feel like, "WTF? This game has totally thrown off my performance anyway so why bother with tough matches?" I think you can look at other things as removing the social stigma of back outs in AW.

Ultimately, how one performs in COD just no longer carries the prestige it once did. That's resulted in an apathy as to whether or not someone knows a player backs out of a match frequently.

To "boost" requires at least two parties to the activity. I've caught a lot of people boosting over the years and, amazingly enough, both parties actually did receive their ban rewards for doing so. So I'm really having a hard time understanding how people can say that in the past, "reverse" boosting was not penalized. Yes, it was. Whether you call it "boosting" or "reverse boosting," one of the two players has a significant gain from the activity and the other has a significant loss from the activity - as far as stats go. Either way, both parties were penalized. So why is there so much emphasis on "reverse" boosting as opposed to simply "boosting?" It is the same dang thing - and dealt with in the exact same fashion.

    Oh, it's v1.8

Still, some warning would have been nice. While I'm here I may as well read the release notes and see what these new Atlas Units are all about......

Now, where ARE those release notes .......?

Just checking the obvious, are your MCs maxed for your CC level?

Alternative route to upgrade: Hit the "Info" button and there should be a little upgrade arrow at the corner of the MC picture.

I think because to 'reverse boost' you don't require a second player, one can simply jump off the edge, blow themselves up or run into enemy fire intentionally.

Obviously it is far faster if you are coordinating with someone to kill you faster and won't count as suicides but it is harder to accomplish.

Had a similar problem in Survival Mode, a lone spec ops got stuck behind a single piece of wall, couldn't decide which way round to go and just hung there. All his mates had wiped out the nearby turret and so he was out of range. Only way out was to exit, so losing the opportunity to face the following waves.
