Once again, the problem with MW3 was that maps were made from planks and cast panels inside a small garage;
You could hear someone halfway across the map, because halfway across the map was within semtex throw range at all times.

And yes. There should be no footstep enhancing perks.
If footsteps, in general, only were audible when someone was in the same room as you -- I'd be fine with that.
Because that is my problem:
We're basically DEAF in Black Ops 2.
Deaf, and blind on one eye.
I really don't like the low Field of View tunnel vision, and being unable to realistically hear people around me enhances the feeling of tunnel vision.
Instead of giving perfect sound feedback, they could have footsteps start as a 180 degree spread with no discernable center, and then have the sound become more precise as the footsteps come nearer.
I remember a time when flanking was a skill, performed by skilled individuals who managed to avoid detection by sound and sight, until they were behind the enemy team.
I used to be good at that, until everyone got that ability for free, with mazelike maps and the utter lack of footsteps outside a 10 foot range.

Master Scavenger: Ark Testing (Updated: 25/09/2014)
Testing is based on 4-player Co-Op games (random lobbies) with 2 Master Scavengers. In some games we didn’t get a chance to search all the boxes as the other players were too eager lol .

Update (25/09/2014): I’ve added results from recent games above. I would say on average in a 4-player co-op game we’re finding 2 Arks on any map (with at least 2 MS’s in each game).
IMPORTANT: Please note that we did not complete every game, so potentially there could have been more Ark’s which were yet to be discovered, but the results above are based on a majority of the boxes being searched.
So based on my LIMITED experience I found that Exodus has the most Ark’s (Maybe due to the difficulty and it being the new Map).
I also found that searching boxes with a Chainsaw to be the most effective method as it has the least amount of attachments available (Rapid Fire & Muzzle Break). When searching with other weapons you’ll usually find a lot more sights before finding the Ark.
If you pick up a Flare or a Hypno Knife from a box that has been searched by a player that doesn’t have MS, the attributes will still work if you use it.
If anyone is considering purchasing MS, I would highly recommend it! Of course you won’t get the Ark in every game, but when you do it’s totally worth it. You can also get Extended Mags from the Lockers weapons!

afternoon after school more like 50k
peaking around the 60-70k during evening
clan wars and weekends may go up to 80k ish

Live streaming+call of duty??
I have a 12 mbps connection from century link and I have a HORRIBLE time playing ghosts because I am lagging behind everyone else and it is extremely hard to stay alive and keep a positive score.
BUT. Its very strange every time that my sister and her friends who use my network watch live baseball online (which consumes loads of bandwidth) my connection is beast and I can kill people quickly, smoothly and easily. I would think that if someone starts watching something online and using that much bandwidth that my ps4's connection would topple. Why does my connection improve when somebody throttles my connection I don't get it!! WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN HELP I just want to get to the bottom of this.
