If you have to cry about a weapon as being op to defend your self for dieng to the user of that weapon than really it is the player and not the weapon that was op and the player that died was just a bad player. The grenade launchers were annoying at best but by no means OP.. even when ran with OMA for unlimited refills.
The Aug and the Famas were the same, anyone that could do well with the Famas could do the same with the Aug. I found the Aug to be a very easy weapon to deal with even with the recoil pattern. The Famas did not dominate every weapon, it was the player that made the weapon good or bad. I routinely beat famas players yet if it was so OP and outclassed and dominated every weapon than that should never happen even during a blue moon. Weapon stats do not decide how good a weapon is, it is the player that uses the weapon that ultimately decides how good or bad that weapon is for them. Weapon stats only give an idea of the potential of the weapon and not how it will perform for everyone all the time.
Player skill trumps weapon stats every time.
